First of all, I want to thank the membership for electing me to be the club chair for the next two years. I’ll do my best to help make the Dems of SOC an effective and vibrant group in support of our shared values and as a successful force in electing Democrats up and down the ballot. Many committees have been set up, and the chairs should be contacting members soon, if you haven’t already heard from them. The rest of the committees should be set up soon. If you volunteered for a committee when you signed up for the club for 2025, you will hear from us soon.
It’s going to be a crazy two years for all of us and for our country. Our work together is important. We will be most effective when we have the drive and energy to do what we have to do.
That means take care of yourself first. Take a break from the craziness, take a walk, turn off the news, play with a grandchild, read a book, hang out with a friend. Then come back with energy and purpose to the task before us all and:
“Do what you can, where you are, with what you have.”
DSOC merch. Hoodies, sweatshirts, T-shirts, totes and hats are available in our online Store. Since we do not require payment of dues to join our club, the sale of our merchandise is one of our primary fundraising tools. Wearing DSOC merch not only shows you are a proud Democrat; it also promotes our club. These items also make great gifts!
