TAKE ACTION

  • Help Our Neighbors in Southfield

Republicans are trying to weaken the voices of Southfield voters.

On November 4th, Southfield voters will head to the polls and find one choice on their ballots for City Clerk: Gabi Grossbard, an out-of-touch MAGA conspiracy theorist who would use the office to push an extremist agenda and undermine Michigan’s fair and free elections. He even tried to sue to overturn the election in 2020. At the end of the day, election deniers have no place being in charge of our elections.

The good news is that Wynett Guy is running a write-in campaign to protect Southfield voters from her dangerous opponent, but she needs help from all Michigan Democrats. We can’t let her opponent — an extremist conspiracy theorist who has zero experience — win without a fight.

Our state party chair, Curtis Hertel, is asking Democrats from across the state to sign up to make calls to Southfield voters so they know to write in Wynett Guy for City Clerk. Phone banking shifts are being held every week from now until Election Day. Sign up for a volunteer shift by clicking on the button below. Every conversation that volunteers have with Southfield voters is critical to protect a strong, Democratic-majority city from a conspiracy theorist administering future elections.

  • Join the Disappeared in America Weekend of Action Nov. 1-Nov. 2

Across the country, immigrant families are being detained, disappeared, and torn from their loved ones — part of a growing authoritarian campaign to erode rights and silence dissent.

Join the Disappeared in America Weekend of Action (11/1-11/2) — a national mobilization to protect immigrants, expose corporate complicity, and honor the lives lost in detention.

  • What's Next for No Kings

The No Kings Alliance (the coalition of partners who brought you No Kings Day), will be updating calls to action (CTAs) on this site every Wednesday. The Trump administration is as unpredictable as it is dangerous. We can’t know exactly what the flashpoint will be next week, much less in a month. This page will allow No Kings the flexibility to fight back against their authoritarian agenda in real time through weekly CTAs. The Next Steps page also has a direct link to nokings.org/kyr, where there areresources to ensure you and your community know what to do when faced with federal agents or law enforcement.

  • Help save our national parks

Please write to Congress to help save our national parks. They are hoping to get the 1,000 people who were laid off reinstated. The parks already run underfunded, understaffed and on shoestrings by people who are dedicated to a mission of conservation. With the cuts that have already been made, it is clear that many existing facilities won’t be able to open for their season. Click on the button below for an easy way to write.

  • Take part in national boycotts

These resources will help you find companies that support Democratic values and candidates, those that support opposing values, and those that do not make political contributions: DEI Watch, Goods Unite Us (app), Open Secrets (website), Liberal Owned Business Community (Facebook group) and Voting With Your Dollars:  Grocery Stores. You can also visit The People’s Union USA for a list of national boycotts.
