VNP (Voters Not Politicans) will be launching a new ballot proposal called “Promote the Vote 2022.” This ballot proposal will expand voting access in Michigan. Christine Allen from VNP will speak to us briefly at our February 17 meeting. Also, Haley Stevens, the U.S. Congresswoman in the current 11th District, will be running in the August primary in the newly drawn 11th District, which includes all three of our club cities. She’ll speak at this month’s meeting about running in the new 11th District, her accomplishments in Congress and her vision going forward.

Finally, we do want to celebrate Black History Month. Oak Park City Councilman Shaun Whitehead has prepared an inspirational presentation and call to action for us.
